Another FARC member murdered to take total victims to over 90

On 8 March, unidentified gunmen killed community organiser and FARC former combatant Alexander Cunda in Miranda, department of Cauca.

Alexander was taking part in the reincorporation process in which thousands of former combatants transition to civil society under the terms of the 2016 peace agreement.

Cauca remains heavily afflicted by political violence, with more than 125 social activists and human rights defenders killed there since the start of 2016.

Altogether, around 550 such murders have taken place in Colombia during the same period. 90 FARC members have also been killed.
