The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) has written to Colombia’s Minister for Human Rights, Francisco Barbosa, over recent threats made against Colombian human rights lawyer Diego Martínez. These are the latest acts of aggression against Mr Martínez, who has been repeatedly targeted over his work on the peace process and his representation of FARC members. Currently, he is representing the family of Dimar Torres, the FARC former guerrilla murdered by the Colombian army in April this year.
