The violence targeting demobilised members of the FARC continued on Saturday 2 June with the murder of 19-year-old Frady Estiven Chica Chica in the zone of Ituango, department of Antioquia.
Frady joined the FARC as a youth and was active in its 18th Front until entering the demobilisation and reincorporation process. He was killed while walking alone in search of a mobile phone signal. Six unidentified men approached him and opened fire.
According to the FARC, around 60 of its members have now been killed since the peace agreement was signe in November 2016. At least five of the murders have taken place in Ituango.
