The Struggle for Worker Rights & Peace in Colombia (JFC fringe at TUC Congress 2023)
12 September 2023
Justice for Colombia invites all delegates, members and friends attending the Trades Union Congress 2023 to our fringe event which will look at the struggle to defend worker rights, human rights, peace and social justice.
The Struggle for Worker Rights & Peace in Colombia
Tuesday 12 September, 12.45pm
Room 11A, Liverpool ACC
Lunch provided
Trade unions are supporting the efforts of Colombia’s first progressive government to advance peace, human rights and social justice. But conflict is still impacting many communities, with activists, trade unionists and former FARC guerrillas under attack. Meanwhile, ambitious attempts to improve worker rights have been blocked by congressional opponents. Join JFC for an update from the president of Colombia’s equivalent of the TUC, the CUT, and trade unionists who recently visited Colombia.
