According to the 'Ties of Dignity' human rights organisation, on March 10th 2011 the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare ordered the 14th Police precinct to make an inspection of a property in Bogota. Inside were 11 families, who had been victims of forced displacement, including 40 children. The police stormed the house using tear gas and batons, breaking the arm of one child, Ana Morena Palacio, and fracturing the skull of one of the adults, Mrs Ana Tovar. The police also arrested three men for attempting to resist the eviction.
