FARCs compliance with the peace agreement continued as they handed in a list of names of their 6.804 members to the Colombian government.
A separate list of 1,000 urban militia members was also handed in although the FARC confirmed that further lists would be handed over in relation to the militias.
The government should now begin a process to apply an amnesty to all crimes related to belonging to the guerrillas such as rebellion. Only those accused of more serious crimes will face sentencing in the newly formed transitional justice system.
