Justice For Colombia News | on: Monday, 17 March 2008

A letter from 56 British Members of Parliament has called on the British Ambassador to Colombia to condemn 'dangerous' comments made by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe in which he attempted to draw a link between trade unionists and the guerrilla movement. JFC understands that although a holding reply has been received, the Ambassador has not yet responded to the letter. The letter also draws specific attention to the recent upsurge in attacks against the Colombian finance workers trade union UNEB.
