Public Talk in London by Colombian Student Leader

Justice for Colombia (JFC) will host a visit by Colombian student leader, Numa Paredes, from March 28th to April 4th.

Mr Paredes will be speaking at the Trade Unions Conference (TUC) Young Members' conference this weekend in Manchester and at the National Union of Students (NUS) conference in Blackpool at the beginning of next week. Mr Paredes will also be speaking at a public event in London next Thursday April 3rd.

Numa Andrés Paredes Betancourt is a student leader and member of the National Executive Committee of the Colombian Students' Union. He is responsible for Communications for the union and was also the student representative at Valle University in the city of Cali. Mr Paredes was forced to flee his home and move to Bogotá, as a result of death threats he received on February 23rd 2007, after his colleague, Julian Andres Hurtado was assassinated.
