Justice for Colombia has arranged a fringe meeting on Latin America at this week's TUC Women's conference in Eastbourne. The fringe, which has been organised in conjunction with other Latin American solidarity organisations, will focus on the role that women have played in the struggles for trade union and human rights in various countries including Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela.

Speakers will include Gail Cartmail, Assistant General Secretary of Unite, who recently returned from Colombia, as well as Jane Carolan from the National Executive of the public sector workers trade union UNISON, and Nathalie Vivas, a diplomat from the Venezuelan Embassy.

The fringe meeting will be held at 12.45pm on Thursday 13th March in the Devonshire Park Hall of the Winter Gardens conference complex. Lunch has been kindly provided by Thompsons Solicitors.
