Police kill peasant in northeast Colombia

On Sunday 14 December, in the State of Arauca, two members of the Colombian Police were seen by numerous residents to fire several shots at a man who was lying on the road after a traffic accident.

Javier Ropero Pedraza, a 35-year old peasant, lived in the town of Arauquita, close to the border with Venezuela. The killing was witnessed by over twenty people.
