Unions in Colombia's northern Antioquia department report the assassination of Dora Liliana Ochoa Serna in Segovia. Dora was a member of the regional leadership of the union and was killed while working as an official of the SINTRAOFAN (Union of Public Sector Workers of Antioquia) and SINTRANORDESTE (Union of Public Sector Workers of the North-East of Antioquia).
Dora Liliana Ochoa's killing takes the number of members killed since the union was established to more than 40, and, according to the unions, is once more clear proof of the systematic repression that they are subjected to. Ms Ochoa leaves behind three children.
